  The fundamental pillars of the world include physics and chemistry, as the foundation of everything. They explain the formation of the Earth, its crust, and atmosphere, illuminate processes of volcanism and plate tectonics, and ultimately the emergence of life, which has undergone a gigantic evolutionary development since the formation of the first cell.

   A team of professors will guide you over the course of approximately three days into the world of scientific interconnections. They will meet you where your current level of knowledge stands and address the questions we all ask:

- Where do we come from, and where are we going? –

  This offering is unique because it comes from internationally renowned scientists who themselves investigate the origins of life and are among the very few who can provide answers to the sum of these complex questions.

 It is an exclusive opportunity for a meeting between scientists and individuals who are passionate about the most compelling questions of humanity, and who can afford to engage in an in-depth discussion of their own questions regarding the foundations of life.

   The framework is defined by volcanic phenomena of the Eifel, the Earth's degassing processes from their inception to the present day, as well as their connection to geobiological interrelations. Based on this, the theory of the origin of life in the continental crust is explained, with the help of high-pressure experiments conducted in the laboratory.

   The thematic focus is accompanied by field tours to volcanoes, a cold-water geyser in the Eifel, and to a striking phenomenon that demonstrates a often-overlooked connection between biology and geology. This is followed by lectures with further explanations and many discussions during evening conversations in a cozy setting, usually lasting late into the night.

   By the end, you will see the world with new eyes and may gain a new perspective on many things in the future.

   The cost of this offering is €5,000, plus VAT and proportional transfer costs to locations in the Eifel, depending on the number of participants. The event will take place on the specified dates (see below), provided a minimum number of participants has registered. For exclusive tours for individuals or small groups, please request a quote. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation in the Eifel (Schalkenmehren/Daun).

   By participating, you will also support further research efforts and the possibility for the latest results on the topic of the "Origin of Life" to be presented at future conferences and workshops.

We will send you a questionnaire in which you can inform us about your background in the natural sciences (e.g., basic knowledge, advanced knowledge, etc.). Additionally, you can specify discussion topics within the natural sciences that are of particular interest to you. Along with the questionnaire, you will receive a detailed itinerary and the option to select the time window that suits you best.

Once the required number of participants has been reached, you will receive a contract outlining the details of the event. Of course, all event-related information will be treated confidentially.
